Hide ‘n’ Seek

I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
Psalms 119: 10-11

Hide ’n’ Seek is a place for children in grades 3-5 to connect, grow, and play. Our aim is to bring the children in NSC together, to connect with each other and to connect with God. We desire to see them grow in their faith, to ask questions and seek answers, to hide God’s word in their hearts as we learn together, serve together, and play together.

We meet every 2nd Monday during the school year in the church basement from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. However, it is best to check the NSC Calendar, as we sometimes need to make exceptions.

Seeking: The Ology
This year, as we seek God and seek to know Him better, Pastor Al is leading the children through “The Ology,” a book that outlines the basics of Evangelical Theology in a way that is easy for children to understand. We’ve looked at such questions as Who is God, Who is Jesus, Who is the Holy Spirit, What is Sin, What is Redemption, and What is the Church. And we’re only half-way…

Hiding: Scripture Memory
This year, as we encourage the children to hide God’s Word in their hearts, Brad is leading us through a selection of verses to memorize.

The Group Goal…
Our group goal is for every child to memorize at least one of the selected verses (below). If we achieve our group goal, we’re having a party! For some children who have never memorized a verse before, this will be a great first step, so please encourage your child to memorize at least one verse this year.

The Personal Goal…
Brad has a prize planned for any child who memorizes all the verses (below). You’ll have to pester him to find out what it is….
